There are many reasons why people gain weight and one of them is their state of mind. Let's first dismiss a few axioms. One of which is that “fat” people consume too many kilojoules (or calories) and are lazy slobs who don't exercise. Calorie consumption is just one factor for weight management. Let me repeat that, calorie consumption is just one factor for weight management. In my clinic we look at many different reasons why people gain weight and one thing that stands out is that many overweight people don't like the way they look and feel. In fact that is putting it too mildly; they HATE the way they look and feel. They HATE going shopping and trying on clothes, they HATE going to the beach, they HATE looking at themselves in the mirror. Does this sound familiar? How about if I was to ask you to describe how you look? Chances are you would focus on your weight and tell me about all of your defects. This is a problem because what you are doing is putting your energy into your defects and making them even stronger. What is it that makes someone beautiful? It is their energy and what they manifest! If you choose to manifest the energy that you are beautiful it will affect your physical appearance. Try it. Wake up tomorrow and choose to feel beautiful just the way you are. Look in the mirror and see how beautiful your face is, how good your body is, how nice your legs, arms, buttock, chest and everything is. Say to yourself that I am beautiful. I will guarantee you that people will look at you differently and ask you what you have done because you have done something to make yourself beautiful. Try it for yourself. Now the next little trick is to create your beautiful body in the physical. If you find that some clothes don't fit as well as you would like DO NOT berate yourself. This only creates the hate energy which helps manifest the weight. Instead look at yourself and picture just how much better these clothes will fit when you have lost 2 or 3 kilos. This helps create the energy to actually shift the weight from the physical and gives your subconscious (and ego self) a positive incentive to shed the extra weight. Finally love your food and love eating. How many times do you eat and then feel guilty about it? Guilt is a lying emotion! If you didn't want the food in the first place then why did you eat it? If you chose to eat the food then make sure you 100% enjoy it. As an adult you chose what you put in your mouth. If you choose to eat chocolate then choose to enjoy it. Say a mantra to yourself that chocolate is good for you (it is rich in antioxidants, helps protect blood vessels, high in magnesium and contains substances that help you to feel more energetic). Part of the reason why strict diets stop working is because you lose the enjoyment of eating and just end up counting calories or units. Food is to be enjoyed, if all you needed was calories you might as well eat coal! So remember that you are beautiful and always see yourself as beautiful. Manifest your ideal body by reminding yourself in a positive way just how much better you will look at your ideal weight and most importantly love what you eat. |
